Agronomist: A crop science specialist who studies soil management and plant growth to help farmers increase crop yields and promote environmental sustainability. Agronomists provide expertise in a wide range of areas, including soil health, crop nutrition, and pest and disease control. Their training includes soil analysis, land fertilization, crop management, field inspections, entomology (through the management of insect pests that damage crops and the study of pollinating insects), and data management related to crop health and maturity.
Animal Scientist (Zootechnician): Specializes in optimizing animal production systems to obtain food efficiently and sustainably, while ensuring animal welfare throughout their growth and development, as well as food safety for consumers. Their responsibilities include health and nutrition management, feed formulation, genetic improvement, facility planning, implementation of biosecurity programs, and the promotion of sustainable practices. They work closely and strictly follow the guidance of local veterinarians regarding animal health, nutrition, and behavior.
